Autonomous Perimeter Security & Site Intelligence — Solar PV Plant

A utility-scale solar plant needs its perimeter, people and plant watched from one place. PacketDCS Command brings perimeter security, drone response, SCADA and site intelligence into a single operations platform, shown here on a demonstration environment for a 153.7 MWp plant in Kedah.

Challenge

The problem on the line

A 119-hectare site with 7.6 km of fence line, dozens of thermal cameras, contractors on site and a plant SCADA that operators watch separately — with intrusion response depending on a guard reaching the spot.

Solution

  • Perimeter security, CCTV, drone, plant SCADA and site intelligence in one command platform
  • A 3D digital twin as the shared picture of the site for operators and management
  • Autonomous drone dispatch to any critical perimeter alarm
  • Operator, administrator and viewer roles with an audit log

What we deploy

  • Operations overview: site situation, alarm feed, off-grid pole power and perimeter watch
  • Plant performance and 33 kV SCADA single-line with inverter fleet and process alarms
  • 3D digital twin built from the plant CAD layout: 12 zones, 48 thermal CCTV poles, walk-through and drone tracking
  • 53-camera perimeter video wall with analytics on every stream
  • DJI Dock drone operations with radiometric thermal downlink and autonomous dispatch on alarms
  • Alarms and incidents, attendance and people counting, visitor management and scheduled reports

Demonstration

KERC Solar PV Plant — demonstration environment

Simulated telemetry; no live plant connection.

PacketDCS Command for a 153.7 MWp solar plant: operations overview, plant performance and SCADA, a 3D digital twin of the site, a 53-camera perimeter video wall, drone operations, alarms, attendance, visitors and reports. Demonstration environment with simulated telemetry. Narrated screen recording of the platform with sample operational data, captured 20 September 2026. Captions are burned in; a text track is also available.
Digital Twin — site film. The plant's 3D digital twin rendered from its CAD layout: 153.7 MWp across 119 hectares inside 7.6 km of perimeter fence, from the site overview down to the fence at eye height.
